Talladega Super Speedway
The 2.66 mile high-banked tri-oval track is located 12 miles from the city of Talladega and hosts two major events annually. Major sponsors vary from year to year. These 500-mile NASCAR events each draw more than 200,000 fans from across the US.

DeSoto Caverns Park
This beautiful historic park is home to the nationally recognized onyx caverns which became the first officially recorded cave in the United States in 1796. It is located five miles east of Childersburg on Highway 76. The park has many types of tours for visitors including the Explorer Overnight, Candlelight Tours and a 1/3-mile walking tour which features the Sound and Light Show in the Great Onyx Cathedral. That Room is larger than a football field and higher than a 12-story building. The mammoth oxynx formations are millions of years old and many are still growing.

Cheaha State Park
Located in Clay and Cleburne Counties, Cheaha State Park is the pinnacle of natural beauty and awe in Alabama. Surrounded by the Talladega National Forest, this foothill of the Appalachian Mountains holds the reputation of the highest point in Alabama. Standing 2,407 ft. above sea level, it is no wonder why the local Creek Indians named this place “Chaha,” meaning high place.

International Motor Sports Hall of Fame in Talladega
The International Motorsports Hall of Fame and Museum in Talladega was opened in 1983 as a way of preserving the history of motorsports. The collection features over 100 racing vehicles, memorabilia dating back to 1902 and a research library.

Logan Martin Lake
The lake is only a few miles from Talladega and provides myriad water and outdoor activities for families. The lake is one of the largest and most beautiful in Alabama.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is the largest golf course construction project ever attempted. The New York Times calls it "...some of the best public golf on Earth."

Davey Allison Memorial Park
The Park is located one block off the courthouse square and pays homage to motor racing legends at its Texaco Walk of Fame. Admission is free and the park is open 24 hours.

Silk Stocking District
The District is a fine concentration of late 19th Century and early 20th Century homes located south of the courthouse square. Fifteen structures date prior to 1870. Later ones range from simple unadorned cottages to elaborate Queen Ann and Eastlake houses. Most are restored. The District was established in 1956 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Historic Courthouse Square
Built in 1836, the Talladega County courthouse is the oldest courthouse in continuous use in Alabama (Alabama became a state in 1819.) The Ritz Theater is also on the Square and is nationally heralded as a distinctive example of the Art Deco Main Street theater genre of the 1930s. Unique shops and several restaurants are within walking distance.
Talladega Ritz Theatre
Talladega's national Art Deco landmark theater is the region’s premier performing arts center. Heritage Hall Art Museum
Originally the Talladega Public Library, the Jemison-Carnegie Heritage Hall was designed by Frank Lockwood and built in 1906. Now the city's art museum and a fine example of Beaux-Arts Classics style, it hosts a variety of arts and humanities activities for the community and the region.
